Cambridge artist Jeff Christie has been an arts educator with Idea Exchange for over fifteen years. Jeff studied at Bealart London, ON, University of Guelph and Dundas Valley School of Art. Interested in various media, Jeff has instructed courses in painting, printmaking, sculpture and drawing.
Alfonso Espinos is an award-winning Canadian comic book creator and illustrator. He is the founder of Studiocomiz Press where he is the project's chief editor, publishing the ongoing series The Night Spike. Alfonso has presented lectures on comic book story & development for universities such as UCI, UAM and CNEPT. He has recently participated as an exhibitor in ComiCon and Fan Expo, and organized the Cambridge Comic Arts Festival in conjunction with Idea Exchange where he has taught as a Manga and Illustration instructor for the past seven years.
Fabio Gasbarri was born in Chieti, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1966. Upon coming to Canada, he enrolled in art classes at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Hamilton, under the tutelage of Alan K. Scott. He is a graduate of the Central Technical School of Hamilton. Fabio has kept up his studio practice for over 30 years and has exhibited regionally and internationally including in countries such as Spain and Cyprus. He now lives and works in Cambridge.
Michele Jones is a graduate of OCAD, specializing in painting and drawing. She has over 25 years' experience as an art instructor and has taught in Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo and Cambridge. Michele is a freelance artist and runs a small interior decorating and mural company, for which she has made several appearances on HGTV.
Kari Mullin was born in Norway and came to Canada in 1989. She works as a visual artist and educator in Cambridge where she is a member of the Riverside Print Group and an instructor at Idea Exchange for 15 years. Kari shares her joy of exploring, discovery and process with her students.
Donna Stewart is a printmaking artist and founding member of the Riverside Print Group, a Cambridge-based collective of printmaking enthusiasts that works out of Design at Riverside. She has exhibited throughout Waterloo region. When she's not printing, Donna enjoys leading visual arts workshops for children, youth and adults for Idea Exchange Art+Design.
